The equator is an imaginary line in the middle of the earth has a length of 40.075 kilometers.
The top and bottom points of the planets are called the north and south poles. A line drawn around the world passing throught these two points is just a bit shorter than the Equator.
That means that the world isn't perfectly round. Its shape is ever so slightly squashed !
